User Agent Parser Help
How to Use
1. Enter a User Agent: Paste any user agent string into the input field and click "Parse User Agent"
2. Use Current UA: Click "Use Current UA" to automatically detect and parse your browser's user agent
3. View Results: The parsed information will display in the "Parsed Info" tab
Features
- Browser Detection: Identifies browser type, version, and engine
- OS Detection: Detects operating system and version
- Device Detection: Identifies mobile, desktop, or tablet devices
- Bot Detection: Recognizes crawlers, bots, and spiders
- Manufacturer Detection: Identifies device manufacturers (Apple, Samsung, etc.)
- Screen Resolution: Estimates screen resolution from UA hints
- Language Detection: Extracts language preferences
- Platform Capabilities: Detects supported browser features
Tabs Overview
- Parsed Info: Main results display with detailed breakdown
- Compare: Compare two user agents side by side
- UA Database: Pre-loaded common user agents for testing
- History: View your parsing history (saved locally)
- Statistics: View browser usage statistics from your history
- Capabilities: Check browser feature support
Export Options
After parsing, you can export the results as JSON or CSV for further analysis or integration with other tools.
API Integration
The tool includes placeholders for API integration with analytics services. You can extend it to connect with Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or other analytics platforms.
Tips
- Use the database tab to test with common user agents
- History is saved in your browser's localStorage
- Click on any history item to re-parse that user agent
- Use the comparison tab to analyze differences between browsers
